Executive Biographies
David Pack – President, Titan Security Group
David is the President and owner of Titan. He continues to drive the same mission he did when he started at Titan in 1992, to provide customized professional security service with a wide range of service capabilities to a specialized client base in Chicago. David has strategically grown Titan Security Group to one of the largest privately-owned security companies in the Chicagoland area.
David has a 25 year background in the development and implementation of security strategies and operations. He is an IDFPR and Illinois Security Chiefs Board Member and a member of ASIS, Associated Detectives of Illinois, Associated Guard & Patrol Agencies, Inc. ("AGPA"), the BOMA Security Committee, and a past consultant to the Illinois Department of Corrections. As a member of AGPA, David holds a position on the Negotiating Committee for the Local 1 Union contract. He has also been a member of the Joint Arbitration Board, which oversees all union grievances from the AGPA contract.
Previously, David worked for a regional accounting firm in the areas of service, distribution, and municipalities. He holds Illinois Private Security Contractor, Private Alarm Contractor, and Locksmith licenses and is a graduate of MacMurray College.
Dave S. Pack - Executive Vice President & CFO, Titan Security Group
Dave operates in all facets of Titan, focusing on corporate development, quality control, operational excellence, strategy, business development, data-driven marketing, branding, and financial planning. David is member of the BOMA/Chicago Security Committee and a licensed CPA.
Previously, Dave was a Sr. Manager in Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services practice in Chicago where he provided financial due diligence advice for private equity and strategic buyers and sellers. Dave graduated cum laude from the University of Dayton with B.S. degrees in both Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA society.
Bill Leap - Vice President of Security Services, Titan Security Services
Bill Leap is the Vice President of Security Services for Titan Security Services and has been with Titan since November 2008. Bill brings to Titan over 22 years of proven leadership experience in security-related industry. Previously, Bill was the General Manager for the Chicago and St. Louis offices of a large multi-national security provider. In 2005, Bill was one of the first security professionals to assist in providing emergency operational management services in the New Orleans area. Bill also served in a military intelligence capacity in the US Army with the 5th Special Forces Group and 66th MI Group.
Bill is responsible for the oversight and quality control of all of Titan's security staffing services focusing on post order review, security assessments and account management of Titan's largest accounts. Bill holds Illinois Private Security Contractor and Private Detective licenses and is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology
Mark Kexel - Vice President of Operations, Titan Security Services
Mark joined Titan in April 2011. All operational and human resource aspects of Titan's security staff services report to Mark. He is charged with the oversight and development of our account managers and security staff focusing on the operational excellence of our security staffing services. Mark has over 12 years of experience in the contract security industry and is currently the Vice-Chair of the BOMA/Chicago Security Committee.
Previously, Mark was the Vice President of Operations for a Chicago-based security provider where he was responsible for the performance of all company departments. Mark is a Police Firearms Instructor and has completed the Department of Homeland Security Surveillance Detection Course.
Mark C. Apel - President, Titan Electronics
Mark is the President for Titan Electronics, Inc. and has been with Titan since August of 1995. He has a 30 year background in the integrated electronic systems industry.
Previously, Mark worked in a team-oriented approach with several U.S. and multi-national firms in designing, installing, and maintaining electronics systems. He is licensed by the State of Illinois as an Alarm Contractor and is a graduate of The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Paul Smedinghoff - Vice President of Operations, Titan Electronics
Paul is the Vice President Operations for Titan Electronics, Inc and has been with the Company since January of 2008. He is responsible for project management and client satisfaction.
Prior to joining Titan, Paul owned and operated a technology consulting firm for 21 years and a construction industry supply company for 10 years. Paul holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Math and Computer Science.
David Edsey - Controller, Titan Security Group
David is the Controller for Titan Security Group and has been with Titan since October of 2010. His responsibilities include managing all day-to-day accounting and administrative functions including preparation of financial statements and managing the finance and accounting team.
Previously, David worked for a Big 4 Accounting firm, a Fortune 100 company, and in a controller role for other privately held companies. David holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Indiana University and is a CPA.
